Wascomat Commercial Washers

Building Top-Notch, Heavy-Duty Self-Serve & On-Premise Washers and Dryers for Almost 60 Years

In 1956, two ships collided near Nantucket Island causing damage to the laundry equipment aboard one of the ships.  Bernard Milch was hired to assess that damage, and during the process, he was introduced to the Swedish-made front-load stainless steel washer Wascator.

Bernard purchased a Wascator, modified the machine to include a coin meter, and then began testing.  The results were astonishing, and he obtained the sales and marketing rights for the Wascator in the U.S. and marketed it as Wascomat.  Over sixty years later, the operation still produces state-of-the-art wet cleaning, coin-operated, and on-premise laundry for both Wascomat and Electrolux.

In 2000, Tri-State Laundry Equipment was approached by a company in Winston-Salem that wanted to open a laundromat.  After investigating laundry equipment options, we chose Wascomat because of their exceptional customer service, product reliability and availability, and low water and energy usage.  We especially like how they are constantly working on improving efficiencies, processing times, and lowering their equipment’s impact on the environment.

Wascomat and Electrolux's extensive line includes coin laundry equipment, on-premise laundry equipment, and wet cleaning systems.
